The Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP) is a 501(c)(3) worldwide not-for-profit charitable organization focused on improving the security of software. Our mission is to make software security visible so that individuals and organizations can make informed decisions. OWASP is unique in providing impartial, practical information about AppSec to individuals, corporations, universities, government agencies, and other organizations worldwide. Operating as a community of like-minded professionals, OWASP issues software tools and knowledge-based documentation on application security.

Kent Wilson is Vice President of Global Public Sector at Bugcrowd, where he leads efforts to bring crowdsourced security to government agencies and critical infrastructure worldwide. With over 20 years in cybersecurity as both a practitioner and executive leader, Kent has helped organizations of all sizes—from federal agencies to private-sector innovators—strengthen their security through vulnerability disclosure, bug bounty, and offensive security testing. He’s passionate about the power of ethical hacking and often speaks on topics like public-private collaboration, AI security, and how to build security programs that keep pace with today’s threats.
